No one has contributed more personal capital toward the subject, than Judge White. But what I believe is very important in this video, is that the commentator brings up the subject, because he’s heard about it from other congressional delegates. It is doubtful that the commentator would have heard a message quite so loud, were it not for Judge White beating the drums, raising the collective voices of ordinary sportsmen, small business owners; and the folks who are simply outraged that an arm of our military, is trying to block access to waters owned by the people of Kentucky and Tennessee.
It’s the collective voices that will eventually end this Corps of Engineers’ mad rush to “own” more of our rivers. We need to keep writing; keep calling our elected officials, thanking them for their continued resistance. Collectively, at State and federal level,they have been incredible in their unanimous support.
Now - we need to keep writing / calling our Attorney General’s office, asking them when they are going to enforce Tennessee State Law. (TN 69-1-117) “...no person shall authorize, undertake, or engage in any activity, practice, or project that has or is likely to have the effect of impairing or obstructing the navigability of any river...” The top cop in Tennessee has an obligation to protect the public assets; held in trust by the State. Let’s urge him to put a stop to the Corps dropping restriction buoys in our river.
