Default Nice bass off a lure i made.

I had started messing with making wooden topwater lures over the past couple months, and i went to try out a couple of them about an hour before dark yesterday down at shelby bottoms park.

I caught this nice one, a little over 2# and missed another, all in about 45 minutes of fishing.

Nice looking lure and a nice fish, too. I've been making my own crankbaits for several years now and have caught a lot of fish on them. If you ever need any help with your lures, let me know.

This is sort of like the fun of tying flies. It's neat to catch fish on something you made. But to me, the best thing of all is that you can make things that you can't buy in stores. If it works, you're the only one who has it.

Nice job. I tried that but failed miserably. Just don't have the patience to do it right myself. Which is why I don't tie flies either.

Glad to see the bass are starting to look up as well.
