Default Hook 1 Grand Opening and Cumberland River Paddlefest

For those of you who may be interested, just bringing your family out to meet my family (paddlers), those of you couroius about the sport, or just think I'm nuts for what I do come on out and introduce yourself.

I really don't consider myself a kayak angler, I'm a lover of outdoor sports of all kinds, and a kayak is just a tool that I use.

Kicking off Saturday April 13th at 867 Burnett Road Old Hickory, TN 37138 will be the Cumberland River Paddlefest.
0900-1800
Free Admission
Live Music
Safety/Rescue (Throw Rope Instruction and Competition)
Kayak Demos
Outfitters
Kayak Manufacturers

Afterward will be the Grand Opening of Hook1 located at
699 West Main Street Hendersonville, TN 37075

Check out the new area, 3 times more space, many kayaks on display, paddles, PFD's, gear from Yak Attack, RAM, Adventure Technology, Bending Branches, Perception Sport, MTI, and many others. Come talk about fishing, hunting, or just come and introduce yourself. We will also have a booth at the Cumberland River Paddlefest.

I will probably be at Center Hill trying for some Smallies....but if not will try to make the Grand Opening.....although when I go in there I tend to spend money...LOL. I am certainly not a kayak angler....for me it is also a tool I use. But have to say it is one of the best moves I have ever made where fishing is concerned. It not only lets me fish more places....with better comfort than from the bank....but it puts me in touch with everything around me. I notice much more of my surroundings and really makes for a peaceful and rewarding day on the water.

Regards

I know I was planning on going to the Rally myself, then this come up, I didn't make the date. Fishing below the dams is very important to me, and I hold it very dear, and hope to continue to do it. Just throwing this out there who know they cannot make it to the rally. Good luck at the rally, I'll be there at heart.

The Cumberland River Paddlefest was a great success. Well over 100 different kayaks, and palldeboards, it may have been close to 150 kayaks and paddleboards, and I'm sure there were several hundred people that attended. Great weather, lots of people got in kayaks and on paddleboards for their first time. Looking forward to next year. Everyone went home safe.

It was a great success. Looking forward to next year. The only thing that could have made it better would be food, and beer. I wasn't on the water so a beer did sound good.
