.22's work best for groundhogs....but I did catch mine in a trap like that one. My tree hugging wife and neighbor talked me into driving him five miles away and releasing him.
And mentioning the Snorkster, he was laying beside me, four legs in the air, and fartin so bad he gagged me! Then had the nerve to look offended when I made him move to the other end of the sofa.
