Default Old Hickory

Anybody been on The Hick in the past few days? My last time out was two weeks ago, water temps 46-48 in mid lake area from Bluegrass to Cedar. Taking the next 5 Fridays off for some much needed mental health recovery on the lake. Anybody know water temps in Spring & Barton creek areas, Cedar, Spencer? Corps web site is showing 48 at Rockland, seems awful low for end of March with sunny days and longer daylight hours.

Water temps on lower part of Percy are around 44-46 right now. I am guessing that is correct. 26 outside this morning!

Actually it is not even that warm. I am on the lake almost everyday and yesterday saw alot of water on the lower end of the lake in the mid 40's. The shad kill is still going strong and making the bass bite very difficult to say the very least.

Sounds like we are going to have some plump fish by May.

Plump doesnt even begin to describe the bass I have been catching. Yesterday I only caught 3 little short but every single one of them looks like they swallowed a baseball. On top of that I have never had 12 inch fish fight like these have. Every time I first set the hook and they ran I would have sworn they were 2lbs atleast. While I hate the shad kill for fishing it is doing nothing but good things for the bass and crappie right now
