Spent a couple of hours on the Caney near the steps at Buffalo Valley.
Only caught 15 and missed another 5 - 7. Most were over 14".All rainbows. Started snowing while wading and that was a different experience.Caught all on white T M's with black jig heads. I also used the slip knot for better action.
To make things better on Caney, they need to turn on the sleuice so as to get more movement with T M.The biggest one I had on and did not land was caught using a white Mini T M.
Looking forward to getting back up there.

Mr. ed, how did you fish the mini magnet? Would you use it like a normal tm?
When tying my floro leader I left the end around 10" long and then tied the mini to that to float under the bigger T M. Sometimes I will float it all by itself. I have never had as much luck with mini as I do regular T M

Thanks. Would you recommend I use that setup in a couple of weeks when I go down there?
Man I wish I was up on the Caney. Sounds like a fun time. Fishing it in the snow is really neat. Sometimes in the summer when those really small white flies are hatching it seems like it's snowing then.
Have you tried the mini's in summer? It would seem to me that the olive and/or black would be really good once the bugs boom in the heat of summer.
