Default Carroll County Lake

The new 1000 acre Carroll county Lake opens today for fishing over by Huntingdon TN. I hope to get over there soon to fish it. I have always wanted to fish a lake after it's first opening. I am not sure the fish have had time to grow to full size as I think it was only stocked 3 years ago. Most TWRA lakes go five years before opening...but this is owned by the county but fish wise is managed by TWRA. It would be a 100 mile one way trip for me...but it will supposedly be a fish every cast for a few months anyway. Looks like a great place for a kayak.

Regards

I wish. I do have some of those days but I still can get skunked. Just always wanted to be in on the opening of a new lake. Even though the bass in there are probably not trophy size yet I bet one could have a ball with UL gear.

I fished Lake Graham when it first opened in 1982 and Gibson Co lake when it opened in 2001???? and it is true about the fish nearly every cast. Charlie Ingrams "Fishing University" shot a show in what looked to be last Oct. on the new Carroll co lake and they were catching bass like crazy in the 2lb range. Might be worth a trip. It's only about 20 miles from me so I plan to hit it before to long just to check it out.

130 miles for me, but looks to be a great opportunity to get some good fishing in.

And yea ice packs but we are moving along ... I had Knee surgery 17 years ago ... big time recovery ... But no drainage was needed afterwards ... What is going on ... Sounds strange ... This is on my other knee....my real knee...LOL. It has taken a beating bearing the brunt of the weight while I have been recovering. My new knee is doing fine. I have some swelling at end of the day after using it but I ice and it is gone by the next morning and I start over. My physical therapist was laughing the other morning when I walked into PT as he watched me walk he said "Dang Randy your new knee is doing good...you are limping on your other knee". It will make it to December and will probably have to be replaced also. Thanks for your concern.

Regards
