Default Great night below Center Hill

Well my Spring Break started off exactly how I wanted it to, with catching fish. I stopped off at the Caney on the way to my fiance's place and fished below the dam. After trying suspending jerkbaits with no luck I tied on a silver Kastmaster and let it drift while twitching it. Caught a nice rainbow on the third cast, barely shy of 14" and really fat. Then another one two casts later, same size. Took just over an hour to catch my limit because I threw back some small rainbows and a brown. Wound up with 4 rainbows and a brookie in the cooler. All over 13" and just shy of 14" and nice and chunky (full of shad). Caught about 10-12 total including the ones that got off and also had several missed hits. It was a fun time!

The cool thing about tonight is I finally caught the Caney Slam! So many times I caught two of the three species so it's about time! I'm doing a lot of fishing this week so hopefully I'll have some more good reports

I know! I was shocked at how fat they all were. They were all full of shad about the same size as the Kastmaster I was using!
