Exclamation Letter sent to Gov. Haslem <'TK><

The following is a letter sent to the Gov. with a copy of a letter sent to Lt. DeLapp from the KY Gov. Sent Br Rick Duty .... <'TK><

Re: Army Corps of Engineers’ pending closure of dam tail-waters.

Dear Governor Haslam,

Unanimously, Tennessee and Kentucky congressional leaders, along with Governor Beshear of Kentucky, have voiced their objections to the Corps’ plan to restrict access to the tail-waters below all 10 dams within the Corps’ Nashville District. As a matter of record, letters, newspaper articles, editorials, and interviews have painted a distinctively clear picture of the civilian authorities’ stand on protecting the economic interests of our travel, tourism, and wildlife related industries. A letter by Governor Beshear is attached.

A great many of your constituents would like to know your position on the matter, and are looking for your support and leadership.

A communiqué from your office to the news media would ad a significant measure of solidarity to the effort to keep this key area of our wildlife resources accessible to all Americans. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

Rick Duty

Thumbs up Fox 17 New Friday Night ... <'TK><

Update from Rick Duty ... <'TK><

Just watched the piece Nashville anchor Scott Couch did on Gov. Beshear’s letter. Blended in some b-roll footage from the meeting on Tuesday night, shots from a couple of different dam locations, and both pages of the letter.

I’ve prompted all the T.V. Nashville stations, and some of their on-air reporters, to ask Gov. Haslam where he stands on the issue.
