It’s getting harder to contact radio stations. Multiple owner affiliates, cloned web sites, automation and information services subscriptions, make public news tips obsolete for some modest to small stations. But the attached went to 19 stations, and another 12 directly to on-air personalities.

Army Corp of Engineers Public Meeting at McGavock High School
February 4, 2013
The last of a series of public information meetings hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M., at the McGavock High School Auditorium, in Nashville. The subject of the meeting is the Nashville District Corps of Engineers plans to close boating access to the Cumberland River tail waters immediately below all 10 dams within the middle Tennessee and Kentucky district. The meetings are being conducted at the recommendation of Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander, who expressed skepticism over the potential economic impact such closures may bring. Joining Senator Alexander on record with similar concerns, are Tennessee Congressmen Diane Black, Phil Roe, John Duncan, and Marsha Blackburn, along with Kentucky legislators Senator Rand Paul, and Congressman Ed Whitfield. Both the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) have expressed opposition to the closures. Legislators will have representatives participating. Anyone concerned about the pending closures are encouraged to attend.
