Default Center hill dam

Hey guys!! I haven't fished for a couple of years because of work and family, and this year I think I will start going after them monster fish in tennessee again!! I want to know is the fishery in the cumberland river still strong? I am thinking about going to center hill dam this week and wanting to know how is the fishing down there, haven't fish there for years. Are the white bass and stripers down there yet. Any advice will be hope full and thanks and keep warm!!!

Mainly just trout there this time of year. A few whites, but not many. When the weather warms a bit(march/april) white bass, largemouth, small striper, walleye and trout will be up there!

There is a wealth of info if you will search back through the old threads. Use caution if you go now. Rolling quite a bit of water out of there right now.

I guess I am lost but what would benefit a troller on a fishing forum?

Okay, I will make it simple ... Remember the thread from FishonCheatham, back up an read it ... This group is fishing for information to feed on to a third party professional ... So if you want to kiss your striper fishing grounds away ... I would be mum ... <'TK><

Oh ok I understand. Since I am the striper expert I wouldn't dare tell anyone about all the big stripers that are at the base of Walter Hill dam this time of year. Much less the huge ones we have been catching up at Dale Hollow lake. Shhhhhh.

Why anyone would go to centerhill dam in feb to fish when you can drag live bait at Melton Hill and catch 40 pound muskie and striper is inconceivable to me. Every muskie in that lake is at the steam plant right now. Ballon rigs are the best way to get em.

In the winter Nice Mill is a hotspot for trophy stripers. That place gets almost no fishing pressure which is amazing. You can go there on the weekends in the middle of the day and be the only person there. Just you and the 30-40 pound stripers. Let us know how you do!
