Default Any recent JPP reports?

Hey guys, hope you all had a great Christmas! I was wondering if any of you have any recent fishing reports out of JPP? I'm off the rest of this week. Tomorrow morning, I'm thinking about hitting OH dam and fish the bank. I'll probably fish at the end of the park below the stairs. If anyone sees me, feel free to say hello. Friday, I'm thinking about taking my boat out and checking out new water on JPP, launching out of Long Hunter and fish hobson pike bridge and some of the islands around it. Thinking about dragging some football jigs around the rocks and see if I can find some smallies. Fishing offshore in the wintertime is a new experience for me. The only winter fishing experience I have is over a hole on the ice jigging for perch or sitting in the ice shanty, drinking beer, waiting for one of the flags for the pop-ups to go up.

Obviously, I'm doing alot of thinking today! lol.

Spoke with my coworker today. He fished Sat&Sun at the bridge and Elm Hill marina. Caught quite a few smallies 2-5 lb range. Fishing gravel banks 10-15 of water using shad raps in crawfish patterns.

Thanks for the report! I'll give the shad rap a try. I just happen to have bought some catfish pattern shad raps a few days ago.

I'm deaf, so I wouldn't know what a rattle reel sounds like, lol! I have to admit, I miss ice fishing sometimes. I sold off all of my ice fishing gear before I moved here.

Despite the numb fingers and toes...I miss ice fishing and the duck hunting the most about MN.
