Didn't think I had a chance to go this weekend but got to slip out today around midday on the Caney. Caught 4 bows and a sauger at Lancaster Pulloffs. Just fished from the bank, not sure of what the weather was going to do.

All were 12-14" range on white rooster and black panther Martin. Lot of bait fish being ran on top of water most of the day. Fishing is picking up! Any idea depth of water below the Dam?

Turned out to be a great day on the Caney and on the way home below Percy for winter stocking trout.

I knew it was going to be something good when I arrived at Happy...630am....no cars.....no people....no wind....no rain and fish rising.

Gear was spinning rod, 2lb line, 2lb fluoro leader and trout magnets mainly white & yellow on the Caney and black on Percy. Both twitching and floats were used at various times. When the rain did show around 830 or so it was like someone set it on fire fish on back to back casts. No pics of those due to it being a down pour and no water proof camera.

First fish hooked was a beast with a massive head, crazy shakes and well over 20".

Unfortunately, I had to settle for this one second...

It was over 18"

Several rainbows

Finally the limit that went home from Percy..

There were a lot more bows and browns caught mostly stocker size at the Caney in the rain that I couldn't get pics...

All in all a great day.

Travis C. and AlphaHawk should hold a Trout Magnet clinic. You guys are doing something a little extra that I am missing. Awesome pics, I noticed the water looked clear in the photos. I was wondering how clear it would be with the rain we had last night in Lebanon. That's why I went upstream further than I usually fish. So or was clear at 630 this morning?

Wow man that's a nice brown! You caught that one at Happy? Were you drifting the TM over a deep hole to find it?

Alpha- thanks, you were right and wish I could have stayed a little longer but didn't want to get caught in lightning.

TroutFiend- I appreciate the kind words on the Trout Magnets but no way I am in Alpha's class. Infact, I pick his brain on them all the time. The success on TM/CM's for me has been using them a lot and putting what he has told me to work. For good results on them you have-to-have the right setup line-leader and confidence.

The water was really clear and didn't color up until the big rain around 830am.

Jad2t- Man, you'd be shocked if I told you where those big fish hold at Happy. That's about as much as I'll go into it. I was twitching the trout magnet.

I know what you mean Travis! All of my trout magnet success was learned from listening and VERY closely watching Alphahawk that day I fished along side of him....even if he didn't realize it

Congrats on the big brown and all the other fish! That was all on no gen water correct? It shouldn't have gotten to you until about 8:30 right? Anyways beautiful fish! Looks like they finally stocked some good rainbows in the river instead of all the brooks they stocked all summer!
