Default Sunday on OH

Took the boat out today. Since I do not know anything about where to fish I hung out in flippers cove. Caught this on UL rod with 4#test

We were riding around and stopped at Bledsoe Park and noticed lots of bait schools and birds diving and fish busting the shad.

Took the kayak out on old hick today. Hit the water around 11 am. Absolutely gorgeous day to be fishing, and the white and yellow bass agreed. Ended up catching well over 50, largest white bass were around 16" and the largest yellow were 10-12". Hot baits were size 5 countdown rapalas, 2" slider grubs (tn shad color) on a 1/8 oz jighead, and a size 4 gray/white clouser. All my fish came from a 40 yd stretch of bank.

Sounds like a great day! Nothing like getting into the Whites with an UL rig. Those are some nice size Yellow bass too. I think they give a great fight also.

Those give you all you want on light line .......after landing one I always have to strip off about 4 feet of line. Lots of fun though. Good catch.

Chris,
Glad you found some fish to stretch your strings.

Went fishing for about an hour below OHD with my neighbor. I caught three saugers and he caught two but then we had to leave because he got a phone call from his sister that her house was on fire.

Luckily no one hurt and damage contained to crawl space and garage.
