Default Cumberland River Nashville on Saturday 11/3

Went bass fishing almost all day on Saturday and was really disappointed. The bite for us was just over one per hour. Really wished they were pulling more water. Tube jigs on chunk rock didn't produce (weird!). Almost nothing produced on bluffs except a few on a shaky head worm. Couple on spinnerbaits/chatterbaits but they were dinks. I did catch one nice largemouth flipping some cover.

Was there a tournament out there because I've never seen that many fishing boats out there before?!... Wonder how everyone else did if so?..

I went out on Friday here in the Clarksville area and fished about the same kinds of areas you were targeting, with the same luck.

The dinks were hitting just about everything I was throwing and aside from one decent bass, dinks ruled the day.

Nice! Looks like your bucketmouth has an inch on mine. Yeah in September it seemed like we'd catch twice the numbers though admittedly they were mostly dinks - still - nearly every outing produced a keeper smallmouth now I can't find them! It has to be the amount of water they're pulling - that or I've just lost my touch.

There was quite a bit of current flowing on Friday, more than I've seen the other times I was out on the Cumberland but I thought that would be a plus, since I've read here that current is good. Maybe that's only true below the dams? I honestly don't know. I fished a pretty long stretch of river and didn't see any baitfish at all; how about down your way?

Current helps everywhere not just the dam. I didn't see any batifish. The water was as clear as I've seen it in awhile. I don't have any electronics so they could very well have been busting balls of bait right under me and I had no idea.
