Default New guy saying hello and asking for help on Norris

Hello all, been a lurker for a while now soaking up all the info I can. Thanks!
Been a fisherman all of my life mostly in Oh/Ky.
Fishing really slowed down after the kids came along. Now that they are teenagers and can fend for themselves a little better, I have a little more time to fish.
Sooooo, I recently joined a small local bass fishing club who fish mostly in SE KY and E TN. Our last tourn is Saturday night on lake Norris which I have never fished.
We will be launching from the dam(ramp closest to it).
Having never been on Norris and it being a night tourn, I will not be running very far up the lake.
Anybody have any advice, tips etc... my plan so far, is to throw a spinner baits and buzz baits. Light/white during the daylight ours and black/dark after sunset.
Location is a toss up, do I fish up in the creeks or more on the main lake?
I am really kind of clueless and would really appreciate ANY help (bait/locations)I can get.
What about bait/tackle/fuel between I-75 and the dam, where is the best place to stop? I will be coming from the north.
Thanks again I really appreciate all the help I can get.
Troy

Smile Welcome ... <'TK><

Troy, welcome to the sight ... There are a few fishermen that frequent this board that will have knowledge of East Tennessee fishing spots ... But primarily our base is Middle Tennessee ...

But check back I am sure you will get some feedback within 24 hours ...

Welcome aboard .... <'TK><
