Pelican Fishing!

I was in Florida a few weeks ago and the Pelicans were going in to a frenzy over the greenbacks by a pier. I took a bunch of photos, here is my favorite! I know it is not a fishing pic, but he is fishing! HAHA!

Ok, this is killing me so I have to ask. How can you tell this is a female by the way it is diving?

Female, diving for greenbacks (i.e. money). That's what I got from it

Nice pic. I was fishing with my dad and uncle off of Fla a few years back, dragging a ballyhoo when we spotted a pelican that had homed in on our bait, my uncle reeled as fast as he could while we shouted as loud as we could to try and keep the inevitable from happening, but they are bold birds and he ended up being the catch of the day. He made it out relatively unharmed though.
