Default Finally found my dream boat!

Well after stalking craiglist for 2 years I finally found my dream boat at a greatly reduced price. 2008 Riverhawk B60 with a 20HP Honda 4 stroke. Boat is in AWESOME condition and I just installed my Lowrance Elite 4 depth finder/GPS. Ready to go chase the big browns on the Caney when they are generating and smallmouth on Centerhill and Dale Hollow in the spring. Just need some days off and the Corps of Engineers to cooperate. You figure out which one will be the most difficult.

I used it on my kayak and I really liked it. Gives you exactly what you need, compact size, and nice price. Also will utilize the Navionics cards. So far I really like it. I am looking forward to using it on the boat mainly for smallmouth fishing. Don't really need it for trout fishing.

Well since Alpha is my uncle I guess he will have first rights. Lol. Which Riverhawk do you have? I had the original with and 8hp motor and sold it to buy me a new one. I really like this one. All together different than the original that I had. Where abouts do you fish at? Maybe we could meet up one day and I could take you out in mine. There are some deals out there if you are patient and stalk Craigslist. Took me 2 years to find mine. If you find you one pounce on it.

My brother in law had a B-60 15hp, man we wore out the Caney for about 2 years. Great boat, we are two big boys(I am the bigger), we could both stand on same side and fish and boat just dip down very little. I did dump him in right before he sold it though. I caught a big rainbow and was trying to make sure it was ok before I let it go and it squirted out of my hand and went belly up. We both jumped to the middle of the boat and leaned way out to grab the fish before the current carried him on down and my brother in law did a flip right in(and you know how cold the water is). He grabbed me by my shirt front and started to pull me in too(I was laughing so hard). Great day on the river. You will love that Riverhawk.

That is cool!!, I have a 13 foot original with a 5 hp, i do like it a lot, these boats are incredibly stable, i duck hunt out of mine and i can stand on the side rail with wet neoprene waders and the boat will not tip, this is the main feature i like since i fish most of the times with my 6 yo daughter and she can stand and walk about as she pleases without the fear of tipping over as you would on a canoe or jon boat, i love the wider and more open floor set up on the B-60, I'm a rookie and still learning the ropes but i fish mainly Normandy, Woods and the Caney for trout every now and then, I would love to go fishing with ya, although work is consuming a lot of my time maybe we can go to some place other the ones i mentioned, i wish i was like Alpha or yourself who seem to enjoy frecuent fishing trips!!, i will be on the look out at Craiglist next year hopefully i can upgrade too!!, thanks
