Fish you are most proud of!

We all have several fish that we are very proud of catching! But usually there are a few select few fish that stand out. Lets share some pics of some fish we have caught that we remember the most! Doesn't have to be big, or anything, just something that you will never forget.

Mine is a big fish. This is the biggest muskie I have ever caught, but the coolest part of it is i was throwing a topwater and it started waking behind my lure at the beginning of the cast. I could clearly see the whole fish in the clear water when it got about 30 feet from the boat. She was about an inch behind my prop bait, and at this point her back was about an inch out of the water! I could not believe how big it was, then when I was just about to start a figure 8, about 6 feet from the boat, she lunged forward and absolutely inhaled it! Then it was CHAOS, water flying everwhere! It was incredible! By far the most memorable fish I have ever caught! It was 53 1/2 inches long! Didn't get a weight, released it. It was caught on Lake Minnetonka near Minneapolis, MN.

Caught when I was 7 years old on a grape jelly worm with a little cheap zebco outfit. Must be proud of it, it is still on the front cover of my fishing photo album. Real nice muskie by the way.

The fish I was most proud of was not caught by myself but my 10 year old son. His first fish casting his own rod (a 6' crappie rod with zebco 22) built by his uncle was a 3.5 LM that about pulled him into the lake. Now he out fishes myself, his mother and big brother. Fishing is truly a family sport in this family.

Take a kid fishing and you know he or she is not out getting into trouble!

For me, it's this bass. I have no idea how big she was but this fish started something new for me. It was early April 2008, and I was still in Korea. I woke up that morning at 3 am and could not get back to sleep so about 4, I decided to head to the river which was close to the Army post where I worked, to try my luck. It was below freezing that morning, with frost on the ground and ice covering the puddles. It was so cold that I had to go back to the car and warm my hands up about every 15 minutes or so. I was throwing a black, 5" Senko, not really expecting to catch anything and while reeling in, pretty close to shore, I thought I had gotten snagged on one of the many rocks in the water. I started jerking the rod tip to try to free the snag when suddenly, the "snag" took off toward deep water and started peeling off line...much to my pleasant surprise, this big momma was on the other end and from that day on, rain or shine, cold or hot, I got up every morning and spent an hour or two fishing before work in what I ended up calling EMB - Early Morning Bass . I did that from late March all the way through November, for 3 years. And this fish started it all.

Mine would be this 20"+ smally I caught in a stream near Nashville this spring. It's not the biggest fish in the world but one of many over 18" which is excellent for a stream anywhere in the country.

Man, there are several memorable ones including both first of my kids. But if I had to narrow down to a few to choose from and given what species are represented already I'll go with this one:

Caney Fork brown trout caught at night on a black/silver/orange suspending Smithwick Rattlin Rogue. The fish hit boatside right as I was picking up to cast again. Then she proceeded to peel off line downstream.

Mine would be the attached Smallie hybrid taken off Norris Lake last Fall by my oldest son-this fish put his two brothers and me in the 2012 Fishing Guide that the TWRA puts out.

Wish I had a scale or thought to get a girth measurement. Probably in the 5-6 pound range if a guess was made.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum but not new to fishing.

I didn't know at the time the record black bullhead catfish in TN was 3.6lbs (back in march) well I caught a 24" 5lb black bullhead form Old Hickory lake.

Not my biggest catfish but no that I know my 5lb was bigger then the current 3.6lb makes me a little proud.
Picture was taken with an old blackberry and the quality isn't great

Interesting catch! Ive never caught a bullhead in Old Hickory before.. i didnt know they were even in there! Haha!

I'd say this 22" brown I caught in the Caney one night last summer is the most recent fish that I'm really proud of. My biggest LM bass (7lb) is up there too.

They are quite a few near Kid's Kingdom in Hendersonville. We fish near the public boat dock on the left side. Channel cats and bullheads.
