Lightning Pics
I know this has not really anything to do with fishing, but thought I would share another one of my passions, capturing lightning! Here are a few shots from that crazy storm we had about a week ago.

Awesome pictures man.
Here is some food for thought on them... All of those shots are the return strike. The initial down strike happens so fast the naked eye can't see it.
Tim Samara (Storm Chaser) using an ultra high speed camera which still was heavily customized caught the first shots of the downstroke at 100,000 frames per sec.

Cool pics.
That night we were watching TV, and thought there was someone with a strobe light outside because we could only see the constant flash of lightening. We went out on the front porch and were amazed with how lit up the sky was and it never darkened. Got up at 0430 morning for work to no power, and by the looks of the clocks when I got home from work it was out for around 10hrs.

I'm in Old Hickory. I'm guessing the power went off around 1am, and came back on around 11am. On the way to work I witnessed no power at the elementry school off Shutes Branch, and was starting to see power hit and miss around the old Food Lion off Old Hickory Blvd in Hermitage.

Really dig these pics. I'm a photography attorney so I get to see a lot of cool photos. Though, sadly....mostly contracts.
