Default Tennessee Kayak Tournament

Hey guys, give me a little feedback regarding this idea that the fishing group that I am a member of has in the works. First you can check out www.reelmenofgod.com to see what we are about. It is a men's ministry group to grow closer in fellowship and enjoy some great fishing along the way! The president, Larry McClure has approached me about starting a non-motorized division. Currently I am the only regular kayak angler competing however there are a few guys that are interested in getting in on it. I'm trying to see what kind of interest there would be from any of you and suggestions regarding it? I was thinking running with basically the same rules and regulations that are on the KBF Challenge series. Currently we are fishing the summer series every Thursday night out of Station Camp from 6:15-9:15. I think it would be more ideal to have a central check in location, disperse to fish, and meet back at a designated time to review catches and figure scores. The group also holds a few larger tournaments during the year, with larger payouts and prizes. Please feel free to provide me any feedback and suggestions to get this thing off the ground. It will be next summer before this division opens so if you guys have interest in making this happen please let me know so I can begin getting things set up to make it all it can be! Hope everyone is doing well!

I believe if you build it they will come. The key is finding something that will draw the kayak anglers, and spreading the word. It may be just getting more people, location, or prizes. I don't know what will draw anglers. I would be interested in checking it out though.
