Default Caney last night/today

Arrived at the Caney around 11pm last night and fished through noon today. Fished the Dam overnight with only about a 4ft gar to show for it.

Dad met me at 6am and we spent the rest of today until noon from Dam to the bluffs.

Fishing was slower than normal but believe there were a few things I could have done better to help that out in hindsight. Lots of fish I just played tug with instead of softly fighting on light tippet were broke off. Dad continues to get better at flyfishing each trip out. He caught more brookies than I did today.

I'll attach a couple pics of him having fun.

Nice pic Travis. Wow, that's looong time to spent in water

I were there today https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rock+...%E2%80%8E&z=16

caught tens of bluegills, they really bother me, because they will bit every cast. I caught two heavy things, but lost them somehow.

From where did you lunch your boat?

I did swim in Rock Island State Park‎ the higher first foot of the water were worm, and all the water under it cold was great time

I have never been to Rock Island but we may go that direction for our family camping trip this fall.

Sounds like you had fun up there.
