Every time I get in the kayak I hate putting that thing on....but I do it. Due to my being so darn big it rides up and is very uncomfortable....but I wear it. Am trying to find a 3X that is more comfortable but so far no luck. That is a very sad story.

Alpha, you may want to try several different brands on. I wear a Kokatat toat fits me well, and there are many great PFD manufacturers. I also have an inflatable that I sometimes wear (I'll probably wear it this weekend because of it being so hot out and I won't be in a fast river).

I wear my PFD all the time while on the water. You never know what is going to happen, and I'm a very good swimmer, but that dosen't matter.
