Good job, I figured they would be deeper right now except for at night and early, early morning. I didn't know you had a boat, I thought you beat the banks.

Yep that is the creek that runs thru Smyrna, but the fish are at the mouth. I have had a Canoe for a few years but it was too hard to control by myself, in March I bought a Ascend A10 kayak and I have been catching them everywhere I have been!! lol I love that Kayak!!!
It was suprising to me to pull up a smallie so close to the bank, but it was a good wind blown bank!!!!

Thanks for the report. I was out there on Tuesday evening scouting out the boat ramp behind the ball fields further up creek. I plan on taking my son out there on Sumday for a little Father's Day float.
I wish the water would rise to summer pool on Priest. It will be tough now that we are into the hot and usually dry time of year.

I have been wondering myself as well, why have the water level on JPP been raised to summer pool yet. Wonder if they're doing repair on the dam?

J. Percy Priest is stream/river and spring fed. Without rain, Priest will be unable to reach summer pool. The Corp. of Engineers hasn't been releasing water for several months now, except for the small amount released for aeration, which has no effect on the overall lake level. Its been an usually dry spring, thus the water level is low.
