Default Bait Shops near Center Hill Dam

I'm looking for some bait shop recommendations that would carry minnows and possibly leeches in the Center Hill Dam area.

Thanks

There Joel Martin's place "Big Rock Mkt." right at the intersection entering Edgar Evins State Park .... Back up the road from Joel's about 1/4 of a mile (If you took the 268 Exit off of the I-40) Is Mr. Bush's ...It is a flea/antique/junk/and bait shop <'TK><

Man, that guy has a little bit of everything you could ever dream up of in that little tiny store. If you have never been there, walk in there and you will be amazed. Words cannot describe how jam packed he has baits hanging from the walls and ceilings!

Joel has a lot of stuff...but he is no longer in the tackle shop.....log building. That has been leased to the construction company that is repairing the dam. He has moved everything down to the deli...plus he is now selling Jackson kayaks....LOL. He is building a new shop for the kayak part of the business. But I can tell you he don't carry leeches. I am not sure anyone up there does.

Regards

Get the minnows down at cove hollow or Edgar Evans marines. They used to sell them

There's a little sporting goods shop at the Gordonsville exit right off of Interstate 40 - I am pretty sure they sell minnows if I remember correctly.

As far as leeches, I think you're about an 8 hour drive too far south of anywhere that's going to sell them.

Thanks All for the advice and directions. I figured leeches were a long shot, but I had to give it a try. Hopefully I have some pics to share after next weekend CH trip.

God Bless

Just spoke to Edgar Evins Marina 931.858.5695 and they carry minnows. $3.00 a dozen. Little steep, but if they catch you know you'll pay it...

Hours:
Mon-Thurs 8:00 - 4:30
Fri-Sun 8:00 - 6:00

God Bless

Yes it is...but have you ever been to a marina like Edgar Evins...on a very popular lake....such as Center Hill...and not found that you overpay for everything in the place?
