Default Pickwick Tailwaters

This years first trip of the year was interesting. I ended up using my buddy's truck and boat! (My lower unit went to see Jesus) We had five boats make the trip down to the Pickwick Dam. Had a great time with the white bass and stripers.
We all stayed at the Botel and had a great time. Even went to Diane's Saturday night to listen to a local band. Good time had by all.

Looks like a great time. What kind of grenades were you fishing with?

crankbaits for the white bass and white bucktail jigs with a sassy shad trailer for the Rockfish.

Default Botel

Nice mess of fish!

How is the Botel?...have not been down there in years but loved the atmosphere and the great breakfast before heading out to fish.

I would like to make a trip down this year. We caught around 9 different species on one trip.

They do not offer breakfast like they used to do when Bill ran it. It is still a great place to spend the night and be right on the river though.

That is a pile. Looks more like a trip back from the Gulf of Mexico than West Tennessee, except for the species. I guess when your staying in a Botel with 5 boats, they are going to add up. Good catch.
