Default two questions.....

I am looking for a place to stay for about 12 guys in the Carthage area. We used to visit Hillside Cottage by Barkley Dam but that is not an option this year or the last two years for that matter. We will need to have truck / boat parking for 6 rigs.

Can you still fish below Kentucky Dam from the bank? Looking at a trip this spring to do some snagging down there.

There are some cabins at Defeated Creek on Cordell Hull. Plenty of parking and boat ramp, Marina and such1

Edgar Evins State Park is the next exit past Carthage.

Its on Center Hill Lake.

I drive that way so many times a year but can't remember how far between the two exits it is. About 13-14 river miles but not that far road miles I would imagine.

What am I missing here? Looking for lodging in Carthage and asking about fishing KY dam. That is a long drive from cabin to lake.
