Did you get the foot pedal wet? I had a problem with my foot control pedal on my Minn Kota Powerdrive V II, and I took it to the authorized service center, which is Marine Electric in Hendersonville, and he said the foot pedals are "water resistant but not waterproof," and if you get wet it is common for them to either shut off or have speed control problems. Apparently it is almost cheaper to buy a new pedal than to fix it.

I think it's pretty silly to have a control for a trolling motor, on a boat, that isn't securely waterproof. I use a wireless remote for mine now and won't buy another foot pedal.

Contact John Jones at http://www.jonestrollingmotor.com/ or Marine Electric Service in Hendersonville at (615) 824-3205. If you are certain of the parts you need you can look them up by schematic at the following link - http://www.northlandmarine.com/MinnM...owMntIndex.htm
