I'm not going until next week. Duck hunters don't like to share the creeks with fishermen.

The water towards the upper end of OH has a little color to it but not bad at all. As for the wind, my reward for dealing with it today is in the freezer right now. Caught a bunch of Crappie in 4-8 fow along the river channel. Just guessin we probably caught 35-40 fish with 14 of them being keepers. No big fish but all the keepers were 10 1/2 to 12 inches. You had to be in the wind to catch them.

Well went to the steam plant the other day. 15 lb flathead and 4.5 lb channel. Caught on cut shad. Fished live skip pies for striper but no activity. Water temp was 73.

Are there any places to fish off the bank not in the canal but somewhere along that side in the warmer water?

I know they stopped letting people fish in the canal around 9/11 but seems like I remember some guys fishing off of some barges in the winter.

Travis there are still signs posted u can't fish from the bank at the steam plant. Across from the sp is a small boat ramp and some areas u may be able to fish from shore?

Took my 23 year old daughter and (a gun). Fished for about 2 hours never had a hit. Had fun with my daughter though, haven't had her in a boat since she was about 10 years old. Wonderful afternoon.
