Nickajack 11-09-11
Caught twelve.....13 to 14 inch....Crappie today. These Crappie were caught in a one hour span when I first got there....8:00AM. No pics as it was raining at Nickajack and when I got home dropped the fish off with the Senior Community Center guy. I fished 3 different locations trying to get those last 3 fish...but as most know when Crappie turn off they are off. They might have turned back on around four or so but it was damp and I was ready to get home. Ever since I have been Crappie fishing I always catch the occasional Bluegill so when they turned off completely I knew the Crappie were really shutdown. Fished the new Pflueger Supreme XT today. This is my second one to own. The 25 series only takes in 22 inches of line per turn....much slower than the Shimano Stradic 1000 Series. It really almost lets me hover the Trout Magnet in the strike zone longer for the Crappie once I find them. It is one sweet reel.
