Pickwick 10-10-11
My son and I took our weekly fishing trip today...decided to go to Pickwick. We caught about 40 Large Mouth between the two of us. Should have caught 200 between the two of us. The fish were busting all over the place. Threw everything we had at them and the only bait that did any good was the Super Fluke JR. But they were not attacking it. They just would not commit to it. Very frustrating to watch them slapping the top of the water just two feet out from our feet...LOL. The largest fish was only about 2 pounds. Stayed until after dark waiting on the Stripers to move in to same location...which they usually do this time of year....but they did not show up. Still it was a great day to be out with my son. Will try again Thursday.
