Default Old Hickory last night 8/27

Went out from about 9pm to 5am this morning and catches were not so steady. They were pretty spread out but definitely in relation to bait fish. Caught a few small fish with one nice 4 1/2 lb fish around 3 this morning. I actually picked that fish up throwing parallel to a bank sittin in 1.5 ft of water but minnows were every where. The pocket I was in had some big fish blowing up minnows on and off most the night. It was enough for me to focus almost all my time there only connecting once with a good fish but had lots of strikes. Caught my fish on a chartruse lipless and small white double willow spinnerbait w/trailer hook. It still amazes me how a fish can nail a lipless crankbait yet not get hooked.

Hope you guys have a chance to get on the water some. It sure was nice last night..
