What, and skip the first Carp Tournament weekend? Are you nuts?

I may end up better off if it keeps dumping rain there.

I am borrowing a yak and my buddy can't go now. So I am either shuttling myself via bike to/from Happy and the Dam or going rest stop down then paddling up before generation hits.

The yak I will have is a 8ft or so surf style Hydra I believe. Dont know how it will go on river current.

Alternates could be just wading or take my river boat but I was really wanting less hassle.

I am not brave enough to. I have been there on a holiday weekend. Imagine 12,000 drunk canoing folks shoulder to shoulder for about 8 hours.
It was a nightmare trying to fish. Not surprisingly, didn't catch much.

Pm me regarding where your float will stop/start. A yak trip sounds fun.

Im up for it, but id say avoid anywhere near Happy Hollow. It will be full of drunks and annoying. If you want a fishing partner in the boat let me know!

Due to the generation forecast I am going to hold off on the trip until mid-July somtime around the full moon. Looks like they will be running two generators for a while. Hopefully then it will drop back out to wading windows again.

Yea all this rain is screwing up river fishing. The calf killer, the part I wade, is a little tricky but if you're careful its doable. I just checked the depth gauge online and its about 3 feet higher than normal.. no thanks. Center Hill is dumping 2+ generators. Looks like no fishing for me this weekend.
