Default Cumberland river

Went to the dam today before work and tossed a spinnerbait around....and caught my personal best smallmouth!!! Actually caught my pb, and then broke it again just a few cast later!! The biggest was close to 21” and had to have been 4lbs or close to it!!! First pic is the biggest one.

Don’t worry, she swam away in a hurry!! I also poured my Mountain Dew down its throat. That little trick DOES work for whatever reason.

Nice fish Skillet! If it was 21" it was most certainly 4lbs and very close if not 5lbs. Even the skinniest 20" smallmouth is easy over 4. Good job buddy.

Skillet, do you remember Jimmy? He also gaffed his fish.

Congrats on getting two PB's in same day.

Harder for them to get away with a large metal hook stuck in them.

Skillet I need to get you in my boat on Dale Hollow lake a few times and you will catch a few smallmouth that size. They are spawned out and a little more work right now but this spring was just unbelievable for 3-5lb smallmouth on that lake

I’m game!!! I’ve been wanting to get on Dale Hollow since I was a kid. Next year I plan on doing a little more traveling and fishing. I love old hickory but there’s more to life than that mud hole!! 😂🤣
