Default hybrids on priest

ON FIRE! It has been hit or miss on a couple days, but I have caught close to 200 in the last week. Mostly topwater and some nice fish on occasion. If you like to catch hybrids it has started and should be good til end of May.

Last night I sat on some and caught them great. At one point, I decided if I made 10 casts and did not catch a hybrid I would leave. I ended up staying 2 more hours. At times I would catch them on consecutive casts, up to 5 casts in a row.

How do you go about finding them?

Please share general location.. I've yet to catch a fish on that lake.. of course I've only been on it twice but always in bad conditions.

I roam all over from the Hobson pike bridge to the dam. There are several community holes and they hold fish on occasion. I take a cork and fluke and cover water til I find them. last year one of my best spots was a couple hundred yards dead out in front of the Seven Points recreation area boat ramp, in the middle of the lake. Can't remember the exact depth, 20 to 30 feet, but pull up there at about 2 am and they would murder topwater. Caught them on cork and fluke the best, but also on a Livingston lure pro sizzle jr and a redfin. The last couple years they have been moving around a lot. They will be on one spot a day or 2 and then show up on the other side of the lake a couple days later. I spend lots of time searching for them, but when I find them it is almost always good.

Most important, other than when hit my lure, I rarely see them bust on top.

Headhunter is spot on.
Put them to bed tonight, come back in the morning, gone!
You have to spend a lot of time on the water to find several places to check.
I'll sometimes hit 8 or 9 spots looking for them.
And sometimes you just don't find them.
I don't fish at night but I know guys that do and they have some epic nights. Unm
