Default Old hickory advice

I know nobody wants to give up their secret honey holes but does anyone have any recommendations on a general area for crappie fishing on OH? I will be around the drakes creek area but have never been on a boat on OH. it's a slow pontoon boat so not looking to go super far. Just wanna get out and catch anything honestly but would prefer to land some slabs. Any info is much appreciated and if I end up catching anything I'll post pics.

Drake’s has a lot of docks for sure. I fish it quite a bit. Many homeowners have put brush piles at the end of docks. Look for rod holders on the end of the dock and it’s likely you’ll find a brush pile. Which hopefully equals Crappie. That’s my 2 cents. Good luck!

I don't know if you have a depth finder on your boat or not.

If you don't, check this out:

Look for docks with some deeper water. I'm not a crappie expert, but I think you'll have a tough time fishing shallow as the water warms up.

Cool

I sent you PM.

This is an area that holds Crappie pre and post spawn.

Also don't forget you can troll DB5's in coves and get a few crappie and other Fish.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the tips! Also that website you mentioned is awesome. Gives me so much more of an idea of what's going on as far as depth and terrain goes. I surely hope the boat has a depth finder. lol
