Default Crappie crank bait bite

I've been fishing a few hours on Priest the last few days, dragging crank baits at 1.5-1.7 mph.
EVERYTHING hits crankbaits.
Yesterday, after fishing fishless water for about 2 hours, I finally found some scattered fish.
Caught 8 crappie that weighed a total of 11.09 lbs, a four pound largemouth, a smaller (2 lb) largemouth, two hybrids (2-3 lbs) and a couple nice sized white bass.
Not a stellar day by any definition but on a tough bluebird sky cold front, late start, early quit day, I was happy with those fish.

You were catching just about everything, and those sound like good sized crappies also.

Nice job! I started trolling cranks a little last summer. Don't hear much about it this time of year. Glad to know it works.

When I am getting skunked on OHL I troll DB5 and 7's and usually get
Drum, Cat, White bass, Crappie and some small Large Mouth.

Caught 2 10 lbs Drum two weeks ago and 3 11" Crappie.

Drum must be in Spawn stage as they were shallow.
