Default Woods crappie

Went to Woods after the crappie today. Water is still stained with about 1' visibility and 50-51 degrees both up and down the river. Was a no go on the catching. Had 1 short fish and maybe 5 little yellows. Fished both minnows and jigs from 5-30 ft.
We need some sunshine and dry weather.

We used to catch lots of crappie (and channel cats) along the rip rap bank on OH side of the dam. Haven't fished that in about 25-30 years but they should still use it for spawn. Also, my dad would always catch 2-3 largemouth every spring there that would go 5-7.5 lb.
Good luck tomorrow!

I’ve never crappie fished it. I have caught a few bass off of it though. Be nice to pick up into a couple limits of crappie tomorrow. I just hope they are where I want them to be!! 😂😂

Fished old hickory Friday with my wife. First time she's gone in years. Had 1 keeper crappie and 1 short from 11-3. Told her when we left that northeast wind was going to hurt us. That's my excuse.
Friend had 15 in docks on minnows. Good luck guys.

I've never been up but maybe 300-400 yards past the sharp bend above Morris Ferry. Skinny water up that way.
