Default Williamsport

Since I haven't seen any reports lately. How's Williamsport. I have a few questions. How do you fish blue cat and shell cracker for all species not just bass? Do you fish the rip rap or open water or what? And also, I have a fish finder for our canoe. Do I need it? Thanks.

Just depends on what day you go. If you have a sonar you can find the crappie stacked somewhere...it is full of them. Gills can be hard to find in the heat of summer but you never know. If you go to Blue Cat try for crappie along the dam about 15 feet out....also fish far end of dam out from boat ramp. Paddle around and see if you find some crappie. If you go to the corner that is to the far right of the boat ramp as you face lake you could find a lot of Gills in that corner up shallow....it is a bedding area and some may be hanging around there still....it is past the fishing pier. The bass and hybrid could be anywhere right now. The second cove across from ramp on the right side of cove has always been a pretty good spot for fish on that whole bank in summer for me.

Regards
