Default Tilapia?

My son caught a small tilapia last night while fishing. From what I understand the TWRA considers this an invasive species. So what do they recommend doing when a person catches one? Culling or release? It was a female but too small to eat. Any help would be appreciated. thx

Good catfish bait, the little ones that is. By all means take all you can for those that can be filleted.

It's illegal to release any invasive back into the water alive
