Default Drakes Creek 4-2-17

Launched out of shutes branch about 2, parking lot was loaded and so was the lake seemed like everybody was out, headed up to drakes for some crappie but not what I ended up catching, long lined jigs at 1mph and got wore out by the drum caught 8 b4 I caught any other species all fat and putting the feed bag on, shad were everywhere flippin, best drum went 24", had one hit and spooled me with 200ft of 6lb test there was nothing I could do to slow the thing, about 4 oclock the drum bite stopped and the cats showed up caught 6 nice eating size channels and about a handful of bluegill, pack things up and headed towards the dam and finally ran into some crappie caught 4 blacks before my trolling batteries quit so that ended the day, all in all not bad for 4hrs water in drakes was 66, down by the dam it was 62.
