Default Crappie 1-21/22

Crappie fished Saturday and Sunday on old hickory. Had 10 one day and 15 the next. Didn't seem to want minnows at all. Trying to fish 1/16 oz jig with bobby garland plastic. Tough to get the feel of that light sucker.broke off a sack full of jigs. Fished docks and wood in 10-15'
Never fished for crappie this time of year other than steam plant. Prolly caught more shorts this weekend than normally all spring. Future does look bright

Use a roadrunner jig head. Reel it in very slow with an occasional twitch. I prefer the Panfish Assassin bodies over Bobby Garland's. They seem to be tougher.

Get you a long jig pole and you will lose maybe one head a day.
