Default Old Hickory

I took my first trip to Old Hickory today. Put in at Flippers and
ran to the steam plant. That's the definition of a community hole.
Caught a few bass nothing to brag about. I can't wait to get back
and explore the lake more.

Default Old Hickory

Merv and I were there today also. We got there early and no one was at the mouth, and only one boat at the barrier. Lost and missed a few fish. We did manage to land one stripe that weighed 23lbs. Had one fish on that I couldn't turn, thought it was gonna spool me. I guess it pulled so fast that it locked the roller up on the reel and popped the line.

Once that bite slowed down we went out to the mouth and caught some bass, white bass and yellow bass. Also caught a small walleye at the barrier. All in all it was a good day.

I was wondering how muddy the water is. I know the creeks are high and extremely muddy.
