Default Another good day at GSP

Went to steam plant this morning. Caught a nice striper. Had 3 hookups total. Lost one, broke off one, and caught one. Saw the guy in the boat next to me catch 3. All of his were in the 15-20 lb range. After the striper bite cooled I went fishing for bass and caught somewhere around 30. All but one came on a stan sloan 1/2 oz double willow spinnerbait.

I should clarify that all the bass were caught in the canal as well. That canal is absolutely loaded with bass right now. You might catch one keeper for every 10 fish but it's a lot of fun. All my striper hookups came on a 6xd. The guy that caught 3 next to me caught all his on a big walking bait

That's what I'm talking about! I bass fish 3-4 times a week and I'm telling you right now that I need to stay away from the steam plant. I'm starting to get a serious itch for these things. I don't want to have to give up bass fishing! 😬

It's definitely addicting. I'll be back out there soon.

Those hybrids would have to gain 10 lbs or so before I am chasing them this time of the year. I don't like fishing when it is cold or even remotely cold.

I know that it can be a pretty big investment, but if you wear the right stuff then really cold weather is a non issue. Ive fished a couple days this year when it was below 20 and i haven't gotten cold yet.
