Default Old Hick Crappie

Hit the water with deezltek today to do a little crappie fishing. Probably caught 20 crappie and bluegill. No where near the zoo (steam plant), so no boat traffic. Just the wind to deal with. Found a little cutback with some cover in about 12fow, and caught fish. The main ticket was fishing cover in the sun. Seemed like if it was shaded throughout the day they didn't bite.

Nice looking fish. Crappie are one of the most finicky fish specie out there.

Nice fat fish there, bud!
Got enough for a coupla meals for sure.
Eat'em up and enjoy!
On a side note.....ain't it a real letdown, going fishing with deez after fishing with me and TNBRONZEBACK?
Kinda like going dancing with Rosie O'Donnell after dancing with Angelina Jolie, ain't it?

The fish have definitely been eating up for winter. They were fat and heavy. Not very long, biggest might've been 12.25"long. But mighty fine eating never the less!!

It's never a let down to be fishing....even if it was with Rosie O'Donnell!! lol I'd probably have to kick her and Angelina off the boat!!! Nerve racking women!!! Lol

The sausage was leftover from breakfast. Lol but don't get me wrong, that is the best sausage ever. Hot smoked sausage....makes for a happy biscuit!! 😂

I tried a new recipe, kind of a Cajun recipe. Turned out pretty good.

Oh we will...I think we've got a lot of good spots and can figure them out quickly. I wish I could do it with the bass!!
