Great site and a Old Hickory report
I am not sure how I never found this site until the last couple days but I think I am going to enjoy it very much! Seems like a good group of guys and some good reports to boot. So here goes mine:
The last several weeks have been really good for us crappie fishing. Prior to the large fall in water temps, about 2 weeks ago, the fishing was good but a bit inconsistent with fish catching in 6-20 fow. Post cold front really seemed to group all the fish out deep and they were ready to bite!!! The fish have been stacked pretty tight on one specific part of the brush piles and didn't really seem interested in chasing a bait but if you could get your bait close, boy it is lights out! We are fishing double drop rigs using 1/16 or 1/32 oz heads and fishing from 20-30 fow being the most productive. Our best day was over 40 keepers, had 3 days of over 30 and several over 20.
The tilipia bite has slow dramatically for us over the last week or so and I would say its because so many people are up there beating them up. We are still catching them when we go up, not nearly the size we had been, but still catching a good number of fish. It will be interesting to see how long that bite will last this winter.
Like I said earlier I am not sure how I have never found this site, but I certainly look forward to talking with everyone and reading the good reports! Tight Lines!
