Tilapia
Caught 101 tilapia, shellcracker, crappie mix today.
Gave away forty, looks like I got 40 fish to clean.
Obviously I didn't keep every fish, thought keeping 80 was enough.

I watched some guy tied up to the barrier at the steam-plant discharge all day catching fish. It didn't look like your boat... More info is necessary regarding your days endeavors.

3/16 oz drop shot weight, #6 gold hook, 3 ft of 6# fluorocarbon line, 1/2 inch piece of night crawler, drop to the bottom, tighten line, pull in fish, repeat 101 times (or more).
My reel is one that I got at a garage sale in a tackle box that I paid $5.00 for (box, one $9.00 lure, the reel, hooks, full spool of Trilene XL 8 lb test, metal stringer, rope stringer and assorted other stuff), rod is a Walmart special, light action.
And the reel is spooled with 22 lb braid!

22 lb Gliss braid is about like 4 lb mono but no memory, no twist, no stretch. If a fish farts within three feet, you can feel it.

Tilapia
Great report. Those shell crackers were in there thick last year. Thank you for sharing.

Very nice Merv. I've been thinking about trying the gliss line. Steam plant or another secret location?
