Default Fall fishing on JPP

Burning a little vacation yesterday and today. Spent yesterday afternoon and this morning on JPP. Easily caught 100 fish between the two trips. Yellows, white, two hybrids and a bonus 30 inch stipe, my first on JPP. All caught on jigging spoons. Gotta love fall!

What spoons were you using?? Been meaning to try some jigging but I'm not sure what the best spoons to use are.

The Cotton Cordell CC spoons are great spoons.

I would say that is some good fishing. What part of the lake, general area, lower-middle-upper-or somewhere in between?

Flex-it spoons, white w/chartruese, 3/4 oz from Capt Mack.
4 1/2 mile point, 29-32 FOW.
Use crappie minnows, no. 6 gold hook, 1/4 oz weight on the end of the line, hook one foot above weight. Drop weight to the bottom, reel up 1/2 turn, jiggle, stop. Jiggle stop, reel in fish, rebait, repeat.

Yep - my white spoon from Academy works better than my flex spoon but that is the ticket

Mighty nice of you to share super secret guide information on a public forum.

There's more yellow bass in the lake than can ever be caught.
Im not one who posts vague crap and just shows pictures to brag.
Besides, how many folks want to go out and catch yellow bass besides me? I just put 2.5 lbs of yellow bass filets in the freezer and could go do that every day and not put a dent in the population.

You are correct sir. Those things are everywhere, I just wish they got bigger.

Oh man. If you are out fishing under lights and those things move in....... might as well pack up and find another crappie spot.

Anybody know how the yellow bass got into Percy Priest and Old Hickory? They haven't always been in the lakes.
