Default Percy priest sonar images

Was out a little bit today bass fishing was slow but I took a couple shots with my HDS7.
The one looks pretty clear that it's a boat. What do you guys think the circular object is?

Looks like a satellite dish that might have been used to intercept either Hillary or Anthony Weiner's emails.

The Democrats may give a reward for it.

Was the sunken boat near Hermitage Landing?

Both images were near Hong Kong and Rock island area. I think your right we could find the missing emails on the dish.

Wonder what that circular thing could be. Whatever it is it looks like it is attracting a school of something.

Here is one of my favorite images from Priest. This bridge is back by Seven Points on the old road that runs from Cable Crossing Island to the Ramp.

If I had to guess, the first image is something someone threw in for crappie cover. I've seen some weird stuff. If you're ever on Old Hickory, old Lock and Dam number 3 is still under the lake just upstream from the dam, you can still see the lock walls and gates, pretty cool. I understand Lock 4 in Gallatin is also still there, but I've never scanned it.

Dakota I am thinking about getting a HDS7. Do you like it? I have a Terrova trolling motor with the Universal Sonar 2 housing but am told that it won't work inside its housing. That is a bummer because I am worried about a rear-end transducer on my floatation pods. I bump river objects often and my dog enters the boat off of my pods.

I've had it for about three years now. Yes I do really like it. I have mine set up where the transducer is in the back. I have an older colored 2D system at the front of the boat with my transducer hooked to the trolling motor. I do carry flotation markers right beside me just in case I need to throw one over to help mark things. I went to bass pro and picked their brains for quite some time before I bought.

I also have a HDS7 gen 2 touch mounted on my console, transducer on the transom. If I'm idling along looking at the structure scan, then take off, the unit will loose bottom of coarse. When I slow back down, and come off plane, the unit seems to take forever to find bottom again.

Anyone else experience this?

I can keep this from happening, if I remember to stop the sonar before taking off.. shouldn't have to do that..

Are you in a fiberglass or aluminum boat? Do you use lose the bottom on 2d sonar when you are running down the lake?

Fiberglass..

Yes. I loose sonar and structure.. I can understand that, due to the transducers coming out of the water. The issue is when I come off plane it takes a while for it to find bottom and start scrolling agian.. But if I stop the sonar/structure before getting on plane and starting it when I come off plane it works just fine.. I just wondered if anyone else experienced this.

You will lose structure once you get above 10 mph. You shouldn't lose sonar though. I think you probably need to mount your transducer in a different location. Sounds like you are getting trapped air under the transducer and it is taking awhile to get out from underneath the transducer.
