Default Still fishing.

I have been having troubles with allergies.... sinus, and was not supposed to go fishing today. I had not planned it but after getting up this morning and seeing how nice the weather was I had to go....will probably pay for it later. I was after crappie....but the crappie are not there. I made 5 casts this morning on arrival and caught 4 crappie like the 2 in the pics...11 inches....and had a slab probably around 15 inches pull out at the net. That was it for the crappie....not another one. The largemouth were busting the water pretty regular so I decided to give them a shot. Tied on a ThunderHawk Dancer in Midnight Blue color on a 1/16 ounce Micro Dancer head and game on. I had two UL rods rigged with SOS 2# test. One had the ThunderHawk Dancer and the other had a Bison colored Trout Magnet tied on. I caught the nice Spotted bass on the Trout Magnet.....also caught the crappie and around 50 Gills like in the pic on the Trout Magnet. I would cast the Thunderhawk out and twitch it fast on top of the water and the largemouth would hammer it. Most of the largemouth were in the 10-11 inch range.....gorged with shad and were really fat fish...gave a real good fight on the UL. I would swap rods and cast the Trout Magnet out off of a point and catch the Gills for a while....then go back to catching bass. I knew sooner or later one of the bigger bass was going to hit and it was quite a battle. The rod was doubled over and the 2# test SOS was stretching but after a lengthy battle got him in.....SOS 2# test line is just some tough stuff. Once again another great day sitting on the bucket....barely enough room on the bank to stand or sit.... but what a relaxing day having a ball. Life is good!

Regards

Default I like your

Net. I found one in Japan that was collapsible but perfect for small fish/water fishing. When folder up it looked like a small umbrella. I wish I would have bought it!!
